[SMM Analysis: Multi-Metal Plants Expand Production, Pr-Nd Production Increased MoM in February] In February 2025, domestic production of Pr-Nd oxide saw a significant increase compared to the previous month. This upward trend was also reflected in the production of Pr-Nd alloy, which experienced a substantial MoM increase as well. The main growth areas for Pr-Nd oxide were concentrated in Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Shandong, while the production growth of Pr-Nd alloy was more widely distributed across Jiangxi, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, and Zhejiang.

SMM February 21 News: In February 2025, the domestic production of Pr-Nd oxide saw a significant increase compared to the previous month. This growth trend was also reflected in the production of Pr-Nd alloy, which experienced a substantial rise MoM. The main growth regions for Pr-Nd oxide were concentrated in Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Shandong, while the production increase of Pr-Nd alloy was more widely distributed across Jiangxi, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, and Zhejiang.

According to an SMM survey, production activities fully resumed in February after being suspended in January due to maintenance shutdowns. Meanwhile, with the market holding an optimistic outlook on the future trend of Pr-Nd oxides, most separation plants raised their operating rates and fully committed to production. This positive market sentiment and production enthusiasm directly drove the MoM growth rate of Pr-Nd oxide production in February to exceed 7%, showcasing the vitality and potential of the industry.
